The codename of the Huawei Mate 60 series is now leaked online, revealing itself as the name of a famous DC comics superhero “Flash”.

Tipster, WangzaiKnows shared that the Huawei Mate 60 series has a codename of “Barry Allen”. Since Huawei specially chooses a unique character codename for its in-development smartphone, this could be the DC’s Flash.

Barry is a “speedster”, with powers that derive mainly from his superhuman speed. He wears a distinct red and gold costume treated to resist friction and wind, traditionally storing the costume compressed inside a ring.

So does that mean, the Huawei Mate 60 series is going to be faster than previous Mate series devices? That’s an interesting question. We’ll look forward to what the company has to offer with this flagship as an official date is still awaited.

There are plenty of leaks and rumors about the upcoming Mate lineup. Some of them indicate that the phone series will bring a new center-placed cutout, which looks similar to the latest iPhones. Instead of going Apple’s way, Huawei is likely to bring its own aesthetics to the customers.

Also, this new phone will equip a brand new camera system with the latest zoom and quality for better photography.

Current insights indicate that the company may unveil Huawei Mate 60 series around September or October but there’s uncertainty on this matter until an official move comes in.
