Huawei Mate 50 is the first flagship series to bring a dynamic imaging technology in its bag. Since there are huge implements on the internal structure, it’s obvious to find some extraordinary pinches on the outer edges as well. In the latest section, we caught Huawei Mate 50 Pro featuring the 6-blade variable aperture on the rear camera.

The news is appearing from the side of Kuan user –@EricHong who shares a live image of the back-end camera hood of a handset. The user posts the image under the Mate 50 category and hints that the image could be of the respective device.

If the clues are accurate, then there are possibilities to see the Huawei Mate 50 series, including the standard and the Pro version, adopting the variable aperture camera.

So far, the Chinese manufacturer has applied for the patent of a 6-blade camera aperture. However, at that moment, there were no hints that the company would be using the technology with the upcoming smartphone series.

Huawei Variable Aperture Lens Concept

Speaking of the camera concept, it will bring a 6-blade aperture with a variable structure. Consequently, these blades will work as a pathway for light. At the same time, it will serve as a shutter for the lens and will enable the optical system when in use. Besides, it will manage the aperture and camera depth of the field of an image.

We have seen this technology first surfing over the Samsung devices. For instance, the Samsung S9 series supports a two-speed variable aperture. The device appeared with a bezel that aids in changing the size and adjusting the shrinkage of the lens.

As a result, the user was able to capture better pictures, even in a dark environment. Though, over time, the software and algorithm changes of the Korean manufacturer made the technology quite pale. Hence, Samsung just dropped the idea of continuing the attractive technology with the S20 series.

Nothing to worry about as the case won’t be similar in terms to Huawei. Fortunately, the company is bringing good enough internal mechanisms for the Mate 50 series. Such as the most efficient HarmonyOS 3.0 and the XMAGE which will eventually support the exterior parts of the device in a better way.
