Huawei Mate 50 Pro and P50 Pocket get March 2025 EMUI patch
Huawei is bringing the latest March 2025 security patch to some of its old flagship devices: Mate 50 Pro and P50 Pocket. After the new update, device owners can expect a seamless functioning of the device alongside a bug-free experience.
Mate 50 Pro is eligible for monthly security rollouts. However, the company has pushed the P50 Pocket handset to the quarterly section. It means the device will get an update once in three months. Hence, the latest patch is quite significant for it.
According to the changelog, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro and P50 Pocket models are getting the latest March 2025 security update with EMUI 14.2.0.166 version. It also brings a downloadable package size of around 350 Megabytes.
The update doesn’t contain any major changes or additional features for the devices. Yet installing the March 2025 security patch will eliminate over a dozen vulnerabilities found in the previous software builds.
Besides, it also offers potential to the device to fight against anonymous bugs and malware. Therefore, you should prioritize this firmware and install it immediately.

The company is gearing up the new security patch rollout for its devices. On the other hand, a Huawei online customer service representative suggested that the company is optimizing the new EMUI 15 upgrade for previously released devices.
