Huawei Mate 40 series will get new HM OS version optimizations with improvements

Huawei has announced, a new HM OS 2 (HarmonyOS) software update for the Huawei Mate 40 series to release next week. According to the info, this update will bring optimizations with improvements for the current version to enhance the user’s experience.

As per Huawei, the current latest HM OS 2.0 version 2.0.0.165 still has room for some optimizations. And the company will resolve them with the new software update that will come with version 2.0.0.16x.

Except for the rollout information, Huawei has not revealed anything regarding the package content or the changelog. The rollout of this update will begin next week and as usual, it will be a staged rollout, so it may take some time to reach every device.

HarmonyOS 2.0.0.165 update for Huawei Mate 40 series

Just a few days ago, Huawei started rolling out a new major feature update with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.165 for its devices. While the Mate 40 series became the initial device to get this update which was meant to bring an enhanced user experience.

This software update for the Mate 40 devices brought a new camera feature called multi-camera mode. Furthermore, it also came along with improvements for features such as a control panel, service center, and some other parts of UI.

These latest changes are also rolled out for other smartphones and enhance the overall user experience for all of the HarmonyOS powered models.

HarmonyOS 50 Million:

A few days ago, Huawei confirmed 50 million HarmonyOS 2 user upgrades and there are 8 users upgrading to this new operating system per second. With this speed, we’re likely to more of the users transferring their Huawei smartphones to HM OS, once it’ll be available in stable mode.

HarmonyOS is a micro-kernel-based operating system that is designed to work across different Huawei devices, powered by distributed technology framework. Huawei aims to install HarmonyOS in over 300 million devices this year.
