Huawei Mate 40 Pro is now eligible to participate in the EMUI 13 beta program, enabling comprehensive testing of this new software in the global market. Given the fact it’s the beta activity, Huawei has landed this beta first in the Asia Pacific.

Back in March, Huawei began EMUI 13 beta for Huawei P50 Pro, P50 Pocket, and Mate Xs 2. It seems like the company has been choosing Asian markets as the testing hub. Last week, stable EMUI 13 released for the Huawei P50 Pro and another first batch of devices. This is a large EMUI OTA update with a size of up to 6.21GB.

EMUI 13 Beta:

Currently, Huawei opened EMUI 13 beta for Huawei Mate 40 Pro with limited testing slots. This is a traditional way for the tech maker to keep the program and its negative impact restricted to a few users, if there are any found.

The Beta app comes with a user interface to report any major changes or bugs that are encountered during the test.

Sign up instructions:

Download the Huawei Beta app (from here), and install it right away. and provide all of the app permissions. Now, enter your Huawei ID and password. You will have to create new ones if you don’t have any.

Open the “Me” section and select the new EMUI 13 FUT project. Then tap on the signup button at the bottom of the screen. After the submission, the company will take about a week or over to release the new EMUI 13 beta OTA update.

EMUI 13 comes with lots of new features for smartphones and there are new additions that make operations way too smoother than before.

Stable release:

According to the official EMUI 13 upgrade plan, Huawei Mate 40 Pro is scheduled to receive official EMUI 13 in October this year. However, the start of EMUI 13 Beta activity hints that the release may come sooner than that.

Once again, we want to remind you that EMUI 13 beta for Huawei Mate 40 Pro is available only for Asia pacific region at the moment. But you can install the new Beta version and check for the project by yourself.

Thanks, Andy for this amazing tip.
