That’s an awesome start, Huawei has started to send a new software update for the Mate 40 series that comes with November 2021 security patches released for HarmonyOS operating system. It’s the fastest security patch release in the past month, while the Chinese tech maker is yet to address its security details.

Huawei Mate 40 series is receiving the November 2021 security update with HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.212 and an update package size of 298MB. This latest software rollout for the Mate 40 lineup comes in two package sizes including a security patch as well as system stability improvements.

There is one thing to note that the current software rollout is limited to the Chinese market. These Mate 40 devices have been upgraded with HarmonyOS 2.0 after the launch on June 2, 2021. The latest Huawei Mate 40 software update is a procedural software rollout and will expand gradually among smartphone users.

Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s Consumer BG AI and Smart Full Scenario Business Unit, previously stated that there are 157 million Huawei devices based on HarmonyOS and 60 million third-party OpenHarmony-based devices.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro:

Huawei Mate 40 Pro sports a 6.67-inch OLED display with curved edges on the left and right sides. The screen has 2772 x 1344 pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate for mesmerizing viewing experience.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is powered by a 5nm Kirin 9000 processor and has different memory variants. However, the phone is a camera monster and consists of quad-camera system including a 50MP+20MP+12MP+3D camera. There are front-facing camera 13MP+3D sensing cameras.

The phone comes with a 66W super-fast charger that could recharge the 4400mAh battery of this device.
