Wang Chengdu, President of Huawei’s software Engineering and Consumer BG, told hi-tech Mail.ru that the company is will unveil new Mate 30 smartphones on September 19.
Wang also told that the flagship series will be powered by Kirin 990 processor with enhanced performance and increased energy efficiency, which was previously expected to be 7nm EUV processed Kirin 985. Huawei Mate 30 series will come pre-installed with EMUI 10 based on Android Q.
Recent renders and leaks suggest the Mate 30 and 30 Pro will retain front waterfall notch with 3D structural light, and back of the phone will get round-shaped camera setup. Also, the display is also enhanced with more curves on the edges of both sides and the bezels are also very low.
