Huawei leads Chinese foldable race in 2024 with largest market share

Huawei has been rocking the Chinese foldable market in 2024, as per a recent report. The company is leading the folding phone sector with the largest market share. A big credit goes to the new launches like Mate XT tri-fold and powerful Mate X6.
IDC shared its analysis on the Chinese foldable market for 2024 and Huawei appeared at the top of the list. The tech giant secured a 48.6% market share in last year’s foldable competition in China. It took over all of its Chinese rivals like Honor.
The report highlights the Mate XT tri-fold and Mate X6 foldable as a major part of this achievement. Huawei unveiled the tri-fold in September 2024, dimming the iPhone 16 series “glow” in the Chinese market. It has a Z-shaped form factor that easily catches everyone’s attention. The thin edges are also quite impressive.
Mate X6 on the other hand, landed in November last year as the most powerful Mate foldable. It comes with several AI features and interesting capabilities for users.
Both these folding phones received immense consumer support and attention in the Chinese market for their amazing characteristics. As a result, Huawei won the Chinese foldable phone race in 2024 despite many challenges and tough rivals.
