Huawei has ranked first in the Q4 2023 Chinese foldable phone market with 51.23% of the market share. The company has surpassed several tech vendors in the folding phone race and secured the top position in the sales listing.

BCI Research Institute recently released the Chinese foldable phone market sales report based on the fourth quarter of 2023 and gladly Huawei has taken over the folding device field with 51% share. With more than half of the market share, the company stood first in this ranking.

At the same time, Huawei Mate X5 made around 52.37% of sales in the large folding phone category and gained the award of hot-in-demand foldable of the year. Meanwhile, the device has bagged 30% of the Chinese premium phone market share.

Huawei is constantly making new achievements in the smartphone business and the foldable section is no exception to this theory. A big credit for this success goes to the Mate X5 foldable smartphone which has been a huge consumer demand.

Apart from Huawei, other brands like Honor, Samsung, OPPO, and Vivo made their name in the top five positions. The Magic 6 series developer ranked second with 15.54% share whereas, Samsung is on the third spot with 15.23%.

While the Chinese smartphone market has been dealing with slow-moving treatment for a long while, Huawei’s devices like Mate 60 Pro and Mate X5 have given a new boost to this environment.

Eventually, a few reports predict that Huawei is preparing to raise its foldable phone shipments this year with 7 to 10 million units. This is 3x times more than the goal achieved last year. Thus, we could assume that the company will continue to lead the folding device race in the time ahead.
