Huawei launches world’s first autonomous airport parking feature for EVs

Huawei has introduced the world’s first autonomous airport parking feature for smart cars. It will ultimately enable EV owners to let the car auto-align itself in the airport parking slot. The capability can take the driving experience to the next level.
The Chinese tech giant tested the world’s first Huawei autonomous airport parking feature at the Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. It is a perfect technology for those who arrive late or have less time to fulfill airline passenger formalities.
Autonomous airport parking feature equips ADS 3.0 VDP (Vehicle Parking Designated Driver). This technology enables the car to drive automatically to the selected parking space. It smartly detects pedestrians or other objects in the way.
In case your car has pixel headlights, then it will generate a parking pattern on the floor. Such electric vehicles can further alert you to the nearby traffic.
How does autonomous airport parking work?
The driver can choose the parking space via phone app once he reaches the airport parking slot. After selecting the space, you can move out of the car. It will park in the designated slot automatically without getting any scratches or dents anywhere.
Also, the car will automatically choose a vacant space if the selected one is already full. It will turn off after parking. You can choose another slot at your convenience.
Once you return to the airport, you can turn on the car with one click in the phone app. The car will automatically reach the owner. Currently, the MAEXTRO S800 is the first car to support this feature. Although Huawei may bring it to other eligible car models in the coming days.
