Huawei launches Qingyun L420x notebook with 2.8K screen, long battery life

Huawei has announced an all-new Qingyun L420x notebook with whopping specs and features. Today, the company listed the device on the official Qingyun laptop website, revealing its capabilities and promising an extraordinary experience.

Back in 2021, the OEM launched the Qingyun L420 laptop with the English name ‘Dyna Cloud L420’. The notebook used stockpiled chips from TSMC 2020 production.

Now it has unveiled Qingyun L420x with six top features. These are a 2.8K OLED with high resolution, an all-metal thin body, long battery life, Chinese parts, Pro-grade software, and Metamaterial Antennas, which makes it a perfect laptop.

Let’s look at these parameters in more detail.

Display

The Qingyun L420x has a 14.2-inch high-definition OLED screen displaying sharp details and brighter visuals. It has a peak brightness of 450 nits, a 120 Hz refresh rate, sRGB, P3, and Adobe color gamut, and a 2.8K (2880 x 1920 pixels) resolution.

Huawei has certified the device with TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort, offering reduced blue light damage and constantly protecting your eyes during work hours.

Qingyun L420x laptop’s display also supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It measures 226.8 x 14.5 x 312.6mm and weighs 1.32kg including battery.

Design

The company has crafted the device with an all-metal body, providing a business style with a simple yet extraordinary feel. It has been precision-sandblasted and tempered via numerous processes for a stable, elegant, and durable look.

Internal Configuration

As for software, Huawei packed the notebook with two different operating systems. It comes pre-loaded with Kylin Desktop OS V10 and Tongxin Desktop OS V20. Users can choose either of the operating systems to work on the laptop.

The software details hint that the Qingyun L420x laptop runs on a Kirin chip. The processor details are currently unknown but we may find the inputs later.

Qingyun L420x comes in three storage versions: 256GB UFC hard drive, 512GB UFS hard drive, and 1TB UFS hard drive. It has LPDDR5 8GB and 16GB RAM.

Battery

Huawei has integrated a 70Wh large-capacity battery into the device that enables it to play videos continuously for more than 14 hours when fully charged. It supports a 65W fast power adapter. It can charge 25% within 15 minutes.

Other Features

The device offers an increased boot speed of 28.6%, faster app launches by 15%, and increased file processing by 20%. It has a 1080P HD camera for clear and smooth online meetings, immersive video calls, a one-tap physical switch for the camera, and a sky-side safety indicator.

Huawei Qingyun L420x notebook supports five major types of interfaces USB-C x 1, USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 x 2, HDMI x 1, 3,5mm headphone & mic 2-in-1 interface, and RJ45  network port.
