Huawei launches HarmonyOS 5.0.1 version for these 14 devices
On May 19, Huawei announced to launch the HarmonyOS 5.0.1 software version for nearly 14 top-end devices. The new build will unlock a variety of significant features and capabilities for the compatible smartphones and MatePad tablets.
Huawei has already started rolling out the HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.1 version to its flagship handsets. Mate 60, Pura 70, and Mate 70 series users began receiving the latest build.
On the other hand, some tablets like the MatePad Pro 13.2 2025 are getting the new version. As of now, Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO, He Gang, has officially announced to open the HarmonyOS 5.0.1 update build for 14 devices.
The executive said that Huawei will upgrade its eligible phones and tablets to HarmonyOS 5.0.1 starting today. As mentioned, a few models even began receiving the build in the form of public beta. You can check other compatible devices.

HarmonyOS 5.0.1 unlocks new multi-screen and cross-device collaboration features. It is also bringing an AI Eye Comfort feature that smartly detects eye fatigue and adjusts the screen brightness accordingly for a convenient experience.
On the flip side, the update unlocks new Celia AI assistant features. It lets you copy-paste text between the PC and phone for efficient document editing. Users can also establish the same connection with a tablet, PC, and phone at the same time.
The version enhances Bluetooth sharing, Huawei HiCar navigation, and other features. Web browsing has become more comprehensive with full-text translation features between multiple languages. Other features will be known with the update changelog.
Note: The update will begin rolling out in batches and may take some time to reach all the eligible units. Hence, wait patiently. Also, ensure your device is running on the latest version to get the new build.
