Huawei has been preparing a number of new technologies related to charging, some of these enhance phones to enhance your phone’s battery use-related use cases and allow it to run for prolonged hours.

Similarly, Huawei has recently started to rollout a new feature for its tablet lineup in China – Custom Charging on HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. The Huawei Custom Charging feature for HarmonyOS allows you to set a level of battery percent and turn it off once it reaches that level.

According to the information shared by a Weibo tipster, the custom charging feature on tablets shows the capacity level to set between 70 to 90 percent. This feature is available in Settings > then Battery and tap on More battery settings.

Currently, the feature has been noted only in tablet devices and rolled out recently with February 2022 HarmonyOS security update in China. However, we expect that smartphone devices will also be able to get it on board with upcoming software rollouts.

Aside from this, Huawei already has features such as smart charge, which preserve the battery’s health by learning from your charging routine and delay fully charging past 80 percent until you require that.

The other feature is Smart Battery Capacity, which finishes charging just short of its actual peak capacity. This will reduce how long your device lasts on a single charge but extend the battery health.

These features surely increase the battery standing time, use cases, and overall performance on your Huawei device.
