Huawei launches 90-day pre-order subscription for Mate X6 foldable

Huawei has launched a 90-day pre-order subscription for the flagship Mate X6. Under this scheme, the company promises to deliver the reserved devices within 90 days. It follows the “random delivery time” rule to avoid hustles in the supply chain.

The Chinese OEM released the Mate 70 series and the Mate X6 foldable on 26 November 2023. Both handsets resulted in massive demands right after launch.

Although the hot sales eventually led to tight supply due to slow production. He Gang – the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business said that the supply chain has been working overtime to meet consumers purchasing needs without any delay.

But it seems the problem isn’t solved yet. Mate X6 foldable is still struggling with the short-supply scenarios. Several consumers are facing issues in fetching a unit booked for themselves. The official page shows the ‘temporarily out of stock’ board.

Huawei has now started the 90-day pre-order subscription program for the Mate X6. Consumers can simply place an order for the device and wait patiently for 90 days without tracking the foldable’s shipment details daily. Meanwhile, the company will deliver the phone any day in the 90 days.

Mate X6 features bigger display panels than its predecessor: a 7.93-inch inner screen and a 6.45-inch cover screen. It runs on HarmonyOS 4.3 and can be upgraded to HarmonyOS NEXT. The foldable further equips the Kirin 9020 5G processor.

It sports a quad-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main sensor, a 40MP ultrawide-angle shooter, a 48MP periscope, and a 1.5MP multi-spectral lens. There’s also a laser autofocus sensor and an LED flash on the backside. The front part has two 8MP selfie cams.

Huawei Mate X6 packs a 5200mAh battery with 66W wired,  5W reverse wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging support. It is available in five colors: Black, White, Gray, Blue, and Red.
