Huawei tech challenges Trump

Huawei is all set to tackle with tech challenges coming under Trump 2.0. One of the company’s European executives recently talked with the media and revealed how he sees Trump’s return amid growing restrictions from the Biden administration.

Kenneth Fredriksen – the CEO of Huawei Europe had an exclusive conversation with the Euronews Business and spoke about tech challenges under Trump-era.

Fredriksen started the talk with how Huawei has been through tough times in recent years. It has seen the struggle for chip production, 5G phones, and many other difficulties. Hence, it is now prepared for every challenge coming next.

The executive further sees Huawei as an alternative to Europe in multiple ways. Huawei will continue to contribute to Europe’s digitalization and help it become AI-ready.

“AI is not just an application layer, it’s much more, you need to have the infrastructure from end to end to able to realize the full potential of AI.” -Huawei CEO.

Huawei Europe CEO said that a firm like Huawei with a diversified technology portfolio, has a lot to give in terms of knowledge and AI potential. It can be a good partner in the different layers of technology for the European market.

The tech giant has been seeing Europe as the most strategic market due to its innovative position. Adding some words to this belief, the Huawei CEO said:

“And we believe, you know, with open markets, well-regulated markets, it’s possible for us to continue to contribute in a positive way. And that’s basically what we will focus on.”

Fredriksen also mentioned that Huawei’s presence in Europe will eventually increase competitiveness as European companies need to compete with the Chinese tech maker. The OEM can be a good partner and competitor for the region.

Regarding security, the CEO said that communication is the key. The executive said:

“And I believe by more understanding, better knowledge about what technology is really about and how to balance security competitiveness and also trust in a more healthy and well thought through way, it’s possible to navigate through this in a more balanced way than we have seen so far.”
