Huawei introduces AI WAN at MWC 2025 solution to boost 5.5G network

Huawei has launched a new AI WAN network solution to accelerate the 5.5G growth. It is a significant product that will allow the IP networks in the Net 5.5G segment to use AI and operate relevant tasks. It will lead to more efficiency than ever.

AI WAN will also let carriers generate a network with optimal TCO, expand the service boundaries, improve operation efficiency, and trigger new service growth.

Leon Wang – the President of Huawei Data Communication Product Line launched the AI WAN for 5.5G network during MWC 2025. He elaborated on how the new solution is built upon three-layer architecture and offers smart capabilities.

Architecture:

The AI WAN solution’s three-layer architecture consists of AI routers, AI new connections, and AI new brain. This chain enhances network performance and intelligence.

• AI Routers: integrates millisecond-level flow reporting, high-accuracy flow identification, and efficient security protection engines.
• AI New Connections: enables flow-level scheduling to fulfill diverse network requirements of many applications and offer a wider range of value-added services.
• AI New Brain: creates network AI agents to assist carriers in online change simulation, improving O&M efficiency.

It acknowledges base station traffic management issues by utilizing predictive operations. It helps to detect suppressed traffic, letting carriers make targeted investments. The method optimizes inference for precise detection of encrypted flow and unlocks new opportunities for carriers via monetizing distinct experiences.

AI WAN further delivers services that look after attacks and alert carriers to provide security protection services for enterprise customers. Thus, the revenue can increase by 35%. It brings elastic and lossless transmission capabilities that extend ToB computing network services.
