Huawei processors have contributed a good amount of growth to the success of the company. So far, these chipsets have played a vital role in uplifting the smart gadget and offering a persuasive performance to the users. To showcase this importance, Huawei has induced the Kirin 980 chip to the Chinese museum.

As per the Weibo blogster – @ChanganDigitalJun, the historical museum has collected several other self-developed processors including the Huawei Kirin 980 chip. Further, it marked these circuits as the growing footprint of China’s self-produced processors.

The Museum introduces these chips and describes their role in the development of chip technology. It states the following words:

“Since the birth of China’s first integrated chip in 1960, there has been great progress in chip technology and industrial development. We have successfully achieved a batch of key equipment breakthroughs from scratches, for integrated chip manufacturing. The equipment helped the processors to enter the home and overseas markets and gather efficient economic growth.”

Huawei Kirin 980 Processor

Released in August 2018, Huawei unveiled the powerful and dazzling chipset – Kirin 980. This was the first chipset that brings support to the 7nm process SoC that offers 20% of performance improvement. Further, it adds the ARM A76 architecture CPU which delivers an increased efficiency of 58 percent.

On the flip side, the mini processor was the first to feature 1.4Gbps Cat.21 modem, Mali-G76 GPU, and LPDDR4X-2133 memory. Moreover, the chipset was capable of releasing 4500 images per minute and supports AI scenes such as face recognition, and object detection. Hence, Yes! there is a huge contribution of Kirin 980 in the chipset world.
