A new report says that Huawei recorded 48.4 million smartphone shipments in 2024. Even though the company faced many challenges last year, it made some dynamic achievements in both the Chinese and global smartphone markets.
Omida – a research firm recently shared its analysis of the global phone shipments in 2024. It showed how the worldwide phone sector rebounded with 7% growth.
The report highlights the top 10 tech vendors that made their way to the latest ranking. Amid several names, Huawei also managed to occupy space in this listing.
Inputs reveal that Huawei hit around 48.4 million smartphone shipments in 2024. The company achieved double-digit growth and gained some shares in the global market amid tougher US chip controls and trade restrictions.
For reference, Huawei shipped around 35.7 million smartphone units in 2023 due to the booming sales of Mate 60 models. However, the Chinese phone maker didn’t achieve good growth in the global sector following chip production difficulties.
As of now, the company occupied 4% of the market share and shipped 48.4 million smartphones. Though the company is still behind rivals like Apple, Samsung, and others, the report shows that Huawei is gaining a foothold on the global stage.
The report further mentioned that Huawei smartphone shipments are growing at a faster rate than any other company in the top ten. The listing counts Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Transsion, OPPO, Vivo, Honor, Lenovo, and Realme.
Huawei now aims to be more productive this year with ‘beyond imagination’ devices. The company is planning to reach new heights in the smartphone market with its amazing products. One of these innovations is seemingly coming in March.
