MediaTek Dimensity 9000+

MediaTek has ultimately unveiled the Dimensity 9000+ processor for the 5G capable flagship models. This is another high-end invention in the field of Dimensity that is again making its way to the 5G products to enhance the performance of the device.

According to the information, MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ has obtained some of the technical measures from the predecessor Dimensity 9000 chip. Consequently, these measure helps in boosting the power efficiency and functioning of the hardware.

MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ Build Up

The new chipset is standing on the 4nm process of TSMC and Armv9 architecture. It comprises an octa-core CPU framework with 1 Arm Cortex-X2 super core (frequency = 3.2GHz), 3 Arm Cortex-A710 large cores, and 4 Arm Cortex-A510 energy efficiency cores that have improved performance by 5%. Further, it supports a ten-core Mali G710 GPU with an increase in the performance grade by 10%.

Additionally, the processor fulfills the demand for high bandwidth in the market. It carries an LPDDR5X memory with 8MB CPU L3 cache and 6MB system cache. Moreover, it incorporates the 5th-gen AI processor APU590 to offer AI computing power for numerous applications with energy efficiency.

With the launch of each Huawei flagship, the company introduces new technologies that favor consumers and try to give them the best possible user experience. Eyes on Display (EOD) is such a feature that doesn’t only make your user experience better but also provides you with a new kind of interactiveness for your Huawei smartphone.

Huawei Eyes on Display was first introduced with EMUI 11 during the launch of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro in 2020. The company has developed this feature around the Gesture and Depth sensors that are built inside the smartphone’s front side large pill shape notch.

Behind the scene, the Eyes on Display feature is powered by the Huawei Kirin 9000‘s NPU unit and the Da Vinci NPU architecture that keeps it steady and notes the perfect movement of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro user.

How it works:

It’s simple, whenever a user looks at the screen or comes into the range of the sensor, the display enables an always-on display theme. The phone will keep the always-on display enabled as long as you are looking toward the direction or the display of the phone.

On the flip side, the display quickly disables the screen, once you move your face out. This is quite a useful and easy-to-use feature that helps to reduce the use of battery and save it even further.

Notably and intelligently, the feature won’t show activity when you put your palm in front of the sensor. Instead, it detects movements of the face or eyes perfectly, which seems unbelievable in smartphone technologies.

Even the iPhone can not do that, ahm…. iPhone doesn’t come with Always on Display.

Ok, getting back to the topic.

How to enable:

Huawei Mate 40 Pro series consumers would find this feature enabled by default but it can be accessed by going into Settings > Home screen & wallpaper > then tap on Display mode and selecting Smart for Eyes on display feature.

Huawei TCL new technologies

TCL Huaxing has initiated a handful of new quad curved technologies regarding the display aspect of a device, but are they sound better than Huawei? Let’s find it out. There are two major new technologies that TCL released against Huawei. The first one is the waterfall screen hyperbolic, and equal gauss quad-curved surface technology.

Here is what each technology offers to the device:

Waterfall screen hyperbolic technology

In comparison to the old straight screen panels of the handset, the latest display board forms a 90°curvature bending through the OLED panel. As a result, it would be able to cover the center frame of the device. Thus, users might get relieved of the restrictions over horizontal subjects.

Besides, TCL could bring the bilateral curvature of the screen from 60-degree to 80-degree. Hence, it will lessen the limitations that bound the visual and sensory elements of the device from the right and left margins. On the flip side, users will be able to grab a more magnificent as well as a keen look at the front view on the smartphone.

The 88° waterfall screen has accomplished in March 2022. After multiple experiments and processes, finally, the company attained its first-ever WQHD LTPO+ 88° waterfall display panel. This panel exhibits a high resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels.

Quad-Curved Surface Technology

The company has uprooted this technology over the hyperboloid procedure. However, the quad curved surface has gained the benefit of a higher appearance, extraordinary visuals, as well as excellent hand experience, when compared to hyperboloid.

Moreover, it achieved a strengthen visual experience and impact. Besides, the curve design is quite convenient to hold and further brings improvements to the cross-display structures for the large screens. Instead of a round-cornered surface, the company has given a spherical-cornered design.
