Huawei HarmonyOS PC HAD-W32 model receives Nearlink certificate

Huawei HarmonyOS PC device with model number HAD-W32 has passed the Nearlink certification. The upcoming notebook has confirmed its support for the advanced technology alongside some effective “search” and connectivity features.
The Chinese phone maker gave a slight glimpse of the first HarmonyOS PC on May 8 at the HarmonyOS Computer Technology event. It also scheduled the new device’s launch for May 19.
As of now, the company has started the pre-launch testing of the HarmonyOS-powered PC (HAD-W32) and listed it on the Nearlink certification database.
Nearlink is Huawei’s in-house alternative to Bluetooth. It contains elements from 5G networks and supports various device connections. The tech offers significantly stronger performance than Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, with 60% lower power consumption.
The Nearlink technology provides 6 times higher speed over Bluetooth, 1/30 delay, and 10 times higher number of network connections. It is even said to extend battery life in portable devices.
Huawei has already announced that the new HarmonyOS computer will support Nearlink tech alongside its “search feature”. The capability lets you find the device even when it is turned off and can support a radius of up to 100 meters.
