Huawei launched its brand new operating system OpenEuler, which is specially designed for digital infrastructure on 25th September. It’s an open-source OS that’ll further strengthen core areas including security alongside various frameworks.
At the event, the Vice President and President of Huawei Computing Product Line informed that the company will soon launch a new research programming language CJ for HarmonyOS and EulerOS application development.
Furthermore, the vice-president also informed that HarmonyOS and OpenEuler will share their core technologies. It’ll enable the OpenEuler devices in establishing a cross-platform connection with the HarmonyOS devices.
The company is making a unified OS construction that can cover all scenarios of digital infrastructure from IT, CT to OT. Accordingly, it plans to combine the inclinations and the realization of ecological interoperability for a better digital service.
Need of Unified OS Architecture:
Huawei offers products and solutions including servers, storage, cloud services, edge computing, base stations, routers, industrial control, and so on. All these require an OS platform to work on. Hence, the company is developing a unified OS architecture to satisfy the different requirements of different products.
What Capability Brings the Euler:
The Euler has the capability to support different platforms such as servers, cloud computing, edge computing, and embedded devices. In addition, it provides a safe, stable, and easy-to-use operating system through diverse computing and deterministic assurance capacities. Let’s check below-

- Atomic Architecture: It supports a flexible full-stack service-based on-demand construction. With the capability, it provides an on-demand resource capability that varies corresponding to different operating systems devices.
- Self-Service Construction: It offers a menu-style configuration of the kernel and system services. Additionally, it provides a combination of different levels of software packages, files, functions, etc.
- Multi-Device Collaboration kit: The multi-device kit supports the collaboration of unified data, network, and management; cluster multi-node collaboration.
One Time Development:
- Standard API to realize the unification of operating system and application interaction language
- Euler SDK uniformly incorporates data, audio, video, and security capabilities for various applications. It provides minimal development with enhanced application performance.
- Euler Devkit provides plug-ins such as cross-device development wizards and automatic test platforms. Besides, it can easily be integrated into mainstream application development platforms.
At present, over 6,000 developers and 100 plus corporations, academies, associations, and institutions have approached the Euler community. Huawei and Partners explore digital technologies for innovative education system
Huawei has recently conducted the TECH4ALL Innovative Education Global Online summit. The conduction of this program mainly aims at the exploration of digital technologies that can serve as benefits and can help in the transformation of the education system into a more innovative and inclusive manner.
According to UNESCO, Technology can play a vital role in transforming and giving a new life to the education system. However, the fact lies in the point that the utilization of the tech parts must be in such a way that it can provide public digital learning content, and platforms and can change the old teaching methodologies.
Three ways to transform the Education system
The CMO of Huawei ICT infrastructure -Kevin Zhang describes how technology will give routes for three creations that can contribute well to the education system. She said the following words regarding the three key factors:
“Technology truly has the power to transform education for everyone. We are doing this in three ways: connecting schools, promoting digital skills, and supporting STEAM curriculum.”
So far, Huawei has put forth several efforts for an innovative education system. The company has developed and supported numerous Technology-enabled Open Schools for All (TeOSS). This is a three-year project that is approached as a benefit for the students as well as teachers in the African nations.
Thereafter, Huawei learned that connecting schools, boosting digital literacy, and providing educational institutes with digital devices could work as a key priority in bringing the transformation. As a result, the Chinese tech giant started initiating this phase.
Consequently, the company made the successful completion of the DigiSchool project in Kenya. Huawei has connected more than 13 schools at a time, benefitting 6000 students. On the other hand, the company assured that no child should leave behind in this project.
Expanding its roots to more regions, Huawei further brought the DigiTruck project to France. Ultimately, this initiative helped in addressing the literacy issue. Aside, it provided free training in digital skills, targeted unemployed people, and continued theme skills development.

Huawei Hyperfusion business revenue exceeds 1.1 billion USD in H1 2022

It was capable of making more than 10 billion yuan [1.47 billion USD] orders and revenue of 8 billion yuan [1.17 billion USD].

Huawei Kirin maker’s market share declines, while Kirin 9000 runs out of stock
Huawei HiSilicon and Kirin 9000 are one of the best processors among different kinds of SoCs. So far, these chipsets provide the best performance and efficient functioning of the device. But seems like, the market value for the respective chipsets isn’t going in the same way as they were before.
That says the report of CINNO Research which showcases the China smartphone SoC shipments in the first half of 2022. Alternatively, the share market for the processors has gone down to 16.9 percent this year, with a sale of 134 million units.
According to this report, the Chinese tech giant has attained a huge decline in the market share of Huawei HiSilicon and Kirin 9000 processors. Going with the status, HiSilicon received a decrement of 81.5 percent on the yearly basis, which is the largest year-on-year decline.
In comparison to the previous year, the shipment of Huawei HiSilicon has fallen from 21.4 million to just 4 million units. On the other hand, the Kirin 9000 chipsets are no longer available for an unlimited period. Although the company hasn’t emitted any word on this subject till now, we are waiting to see the return of the king of Huawei processors.
MediaTek and Qualcomm are still at the top!
In this outcome, MediaTek and Qualcomm again managed to remain in the top two positions. As per the information, MediaTek gained 42.1 percent of its share market profit with 56.6 million shipments. Following the lead, Qualcomm scored about 35.3 percent of success with the shipment of 47.4 million units.
Thereafter comes Apple with a 16.3 percent increase, ranking at the third position. Despite several challenges, Huawei HiSilicon possibly made its place in the top five smartphone SoC vendors ranking. Yet, we cannot forget that among the top five brands, HiSilicon is the one to obtain share decline.
This time, the SoC market has been affected in overall aspects. But, Huawei has to make some powerful strategies to step back in the market with the same superiority and magic in its processor. Since there are already several competitors waiting outside the door.
