Huawei FreeClip 2 and FreeBuds 6 coming soon with Nearlink tech

Huawei is seemingly ready to upgrade its earphone lineup this year with new additions: FreeClip 2 and FreeBuds 6. Both audio wearables will likely bring new capabilities. Consumers may also witness Nearlink tech with these devices.

FixedFocus reveals that Huawei will bring new earphones this year including the FreeClip 2 and FreeBuds 6. The latter was expected to debut last year but the Chinese tech giant will likely unveil it in 2025 with improved sound features.

In terms of design, the FreeBuds 6 may continue the water-drop-like design, similar to its predecessors. Although we could find changes with the open-back earbuds.

Another tipster in the comment section hints that the new upcoming Huawei earbuds will support the Nearlink technology for a seamless connection at all times.

Nearlink is a useful technology in the Huawei world. It’s an evolution in the network transmission field. The short-range wireless tech is a replacement for Bluetooth with six times faster speed and much lower transmission delay rate.

It further uses less power in standby mode and offers a strong anti-interference capability. Thus, consumers get stable connections even in complex scenarios.
