Huawei FreeBuds 6 earphones to debut globally on May 15

Huawei has teased another product that is ready to launch globally on May 15 – FreeBuds 6. The company has already introduced the new earphones on its home turf. But now it is bringing this powerful audio wearable for its global consumers.

Today, Huawei shared a new video teaser on its official X page, confirming that the FreeBuds 6 earphones are launching globally on May 15. Alongside new smartwatches and a MatePad tablet, consumers will get a new sound experience.

Looking into the teaser, the video flaunts the mesmerizing drop-like design of the FreeBuds 6. The device will continue to use the signature appearance, but changes will be visible in terms of wearing manner as well as audio performance.

Describing the new buds, Huawei wrote:

The teaser shows the new FreeBuds 6 earphones in the Aurora Purple color. The Chinese variants are available in Purple, Black, and White shades. It would be worth seeing if the company introduces more new colors for global customers.

FreeBuds 6 come with the industry’s first semi-open design. It packs super-sensing acoustic dual units + bass diving 14Hz + treble of 48kHz. Thus, one can experience clear audio in every aspect, without missing any details.

Huawei has seeded an upgraded Celia AI assistant to the FreeBuds 6 that supports certain smart features like translation, long-distance map positioning, and more. Though it’s unclear if these features will make their way globally.

It has the same stylish oval-shaped earbud casing. The company hasn’t mentioned any difference in the global FreeBuds 6 device compared to its Chinese sibling yet. But these details and new additions to buds (if any) will be revealed on May 15.
