Huawei FreeBuds 5 earphones getting HarmonyOS 5.0 upgrade

Huawei has started expanding the HarmonyOS 5.0 upgrade for its global audio and wrist wearables. In the latest edition, Huawei FreeBuds 5 earbuds are receiving the major HarmonyOS firmware with certain improvements for system stability.
It’s interesting to see how the company has served the useful HarmonyOS 5 upgrade to older devices like FreeBuds Pro 3 before bringing it to the fifth-gen buds.
The good news is that Huawei FreeBuds 5 users finally got their hands on the HarmonyOS 5 update. But you may be disappointed, as the changelog doesn’t have any big changes, new features, or significant improvements for the device.
According to the software, the new update is rolling out with the 5.0.0.208 version and a downloadable package size of 3.09 Megabytes. It improves the system stability but doesn’t add any new features or optimizations to the audio wearables.
Perhaps users may find certain amendments in performance and gestures after installing the update. Though these specifics aren’t mentioned in the firmware.

We suggest installing the update to enjoy a more reliable sound experience than before. The company is releasing the new update in batches for global users. Although you can try out the following steps to install the build manually.
