Huawei has recently applied for multiple 5Green and 5Gigaverse trademarks in China. According to the information, the international classification of trademarks is scientific instruments and communication services.

The current status of trademarks is applied for registration. On the other hand, MWC22 Barcelona was concluded on March 3, 2022. It was a four days event attended by global mobile operators, device manufacturers, and technology providers.

During the MWC22 event, Huawei revealed its latest wireless products and solutions. The Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei Wireless Solution – Gan Bin delivered a speech on “Innovation for 5Gigaverse Society” to improve network performance and energy efficiency.

The 5Ggigaverse innovation greatly boosts operators’ confidence in building high-quality and green 5G networks. On this subject, Dasiy Zhu, Vice President of Huawei Wireless Network Marketing mentioned in her speech that optical network performance and energy-efficiency are critical for 5Gigaverse and 5Green.

Further, she said as mobile networks further develop, multi-band and multi-RAT networks will be inevitable. Huawei will continue to develop innovative solutions that can help operators reduce network energy consumption without adversely affecting performance.

More interestingly, Huawei’s 5Green solution for green and low carbon won the GTI Awards “Mobile Technology Innovation Breakthrough Award” and “Excellence Award”. According to information, Huawei has launched 5Green in an effort to help operators cope with increasing demand for traffic among individuals and enterprises, as more radio access technologies (RATs), frequency bands, and sites are being deployed.

The 5Green consists of two solutions:

  • GreenSite
  • PowerStar

It helps the operator in optimizing the network experience while boosting energy efficiency, containing multi-dimensional metrics that measure energy efficiency. These energy efficiency evaluation metrics cover capacity, coverage, and experience, among other aspects. So, it is mainly to guide 5G network construction toward more eco- and user-friendly models.
