Huawei currently has different Mate-series products ranging from smartphones to notebook computers. Recently, the company also registered a trademark for products such as MateWatch and MateBuds wearables.

On August 13, 2020, Huawei filed two trademark applications at European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for the names ‘MateDisplay’ and ‘MateScreen’.

Both of these trademark applications are categories under class 9 including computers, smartphones, display, LCD display, LED, OLED display, and more. (Found by LetsGoDigital)

This year, Huawei has planned to launch its display monitor, and this MateDisplay and the MateScreen could be used for that product or for a smart TV. However, the certificates of these trademarks do not reveal much of the information regarding these products.

According to tipster from Weibo, Huawei is planning to launch Huawei Display by the end of this year either at the launch of the Mate 40 series or at Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2020. More information yet to come.
