Yes! That’s correct. Huawei FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) Smart 8T8R network technology is quite efficient in terms of power consumption. It is quite powerful and can reduce the depletion of electricity by 26 percent in a region.

Well, that says Gede Darmayusa, the Chief Technology Officer of XL Axiata – an Indonesian telecommunications company. He believes that adopting the most efficient Huawei FDD Smart 8T8R network technology can result in the productive use of power.

Consequently, the 8T8R (8 transmit and 8 receive antenna elements) comprises user capacity which is twice the 4T4R technology. So far, the company has deployed the new high-tech product in more than 700 4G base stations.

Power consumption is the main concern of users!

The Chairman of Huawei – Liang Hua reported that users are generally bothered about energy consumption. They believe that 5G techs will consume more power than expected. However, the constant formation of 5G commercial networks is proof that the power demands are not as high as people think.

On the flip side, the main objective of new inventions is to transmit more information in less energy. 1kWh energy of 5G product can lift the weight of more than 5,000GB of traffic. This calculation is equal to 5000 ultra-clear movies.

Comparatively, the 4G products were capable of only 300 movies. Thus, it’s clear that the 5G network is quite efficient in terms of power. Besides, it increases the productivity of energy by 10-20 times.

Also, 5G base stations are rapidly taking over with their larger capacity, faster speed, and more connections. Eventually, the innovations and new implementations are one of the biggest reasons behind the successful accomplishment of 5G techs.

Liang Hua also said that the company is focused on working for the green environment and will keep on bringing such inventions and solutions.

“With the continuous innovation of technology, the energy efficiency of 5G equipment is also higher, and 5G will be more in line with the concept of energy saving and emission reduction, green environmental protection.”
