Huawei executive has a new mysterious phone, is it Pura 80 Ultra?

A senior Huawei executive has allegedly shown off a mysterious phone, which seems to be the Pura 80 Ultra. The image is going viral online on the Chinese social media platform. Looks like the company has secretly teased the upcoming flagship handset.

The CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, He Gang, has been spotted holding a new device in his hands, suspected to be Pura 80 Ultra. While the variant’s name is unclear, it seems to be the high-end version of the Pura 80 lineup.

Looking into the image, the new device shows a rounded-triangular camera bump with three uniquely-shaped lenses. The appearance is quite identical to a previously-rumored quadrant style with two corners and a slightly curved end.

The back panel is seemingly covered with a plain leather material. The left side of the back shows a blurred ‘Huawei’ branding at the bottom, while the LED flash is probably placed outside the camera module.

Huawei executive didn’t confirm the authenticity of the alleged Pura 80 Ultra image. But based on the previous Pura smartphone design, the mystery device could turn out to be the highest member of the next-gen flagship series.

Pura 70 Design

Huawei Pura 70, Pro, and Pro+ models have a triangular camera bump. All these handsets show a similar lens arrangement with differences in the specifications.

But when it comes to the Pura 70 Ultra, the device adopts a unique camera module design. It has a small XMAGE badge attached to one side of the triangle lens bump, which makes the appearance even more beautiful.

With that, the allegedly spotted device could be the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra. As per a rumor, the firm could use an innovative camera design – quadrant-style for the next-gen Pura lineup. The leaked image now appears to be in line with this rumor.

Richard Yu, the Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business, has confirmed to launch of the new-gen Pura handset next month. Perhaps, the alleged Pura 80 Ultra image has surfaced at the right time!
