HDR10 video support update rolling out for Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro and Enjoy Z



Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro

Huawei Enjoy Z and Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro comes pre-installed with EMUI 10.1 and already received their first upgrades in the last month. Now, Huawei has pushed another set of updates to these models with new optimizations and HDR10 support.

Additionally, the update adds features for Gallery, camera, calling, and the security patches released in June 2020 for both devices.

Huawei Enjoy Z and Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro are the latest devices from the Enjoy-series. These phones equip MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G chipset with NSA/SA dual-mode 5G support.

Update Changelog:

Gallery: New Smart Gallery Sorting Feature, the smartphone can automatically identify pictures in the gallery and organize them in different categories such as portray, locations, scenery, food, etc.

Multimedia: Optimizes video playback with more and clearer details when watching movies. Added support for HDR10 standard videos.

Camera: Optimizes photography and video recording experience.

Calling: Optimizes call experience in some situations.

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in June 2020 for improved system security.

HDR10 Standard Video Details:

HDR10 helps to improve picture quality but in slightly different ways. HDR 10 standard sends static metadata to the video stream, which is encoded information on color calibration settings required to make a picture look real.
