Huawei EMUI July 2022 security update details released as EMUI 12 expands

Huawei has released the July 2022 EMUI security update details for the consumers and soon, the Chinese tech maker will start sending this new security patch to corresponding Huawei phone owners via the OTA update method. Huawei is up ahead to release new software versions and the company is working to improve the performance and important aspects of the phone.

On July 4th, Huawei conducted the Huawei Nova 10 series launch event in China, these phones are packed with some amazing technologies including – a 60MP selfie, 50MP AI-powered triple camera system, and 100W super fast charging. Since the phone was initially introduced in China, the phone maker has introduced it with HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system pre-installed, while its global variant will come with EMUI 12.

In the midst of this development, Huawei continuously sends EMUI 12 builds for different devices around the globe and recently, the company has begun sending EMUI 12 for Huawei Y9 Prime and Nova 4 models. As we can expect that the Nova 4e/P30 Lite will also join the EMUI 12 party soon.

Moving on, Huawei EMUI July 2022 security patch details reveals to fix for 2 critical, 12 high, and 18 medium levels of CVEs that may affect your smartphone and fixed with this month’s security update. Furthermore, Huawei has included 14 of CVEs that were found in the last firmware update and fixed with the latest rollout.

As mentioned by Huawei, the security bulletin is still powered by patches and CVE included in the June 2022 Android security bulletin.
