Huawei eKitStor Extreme 200E SSD recently showed up in South Korea. It is open for sale with a price tag of $32 for the 1TB storage variant. It’s a piece of interesting news as the storage solution made its way to the global platform amid US sanctions.
The Chinese phone maker launched its eKitStor Extreme 200E SSDs in June this year. It has storage variants ranging from 512GB to 4TB. One of these – a 1TB version is now available in South Korea and promises to offer improved performance.
Jukanlosreve on X reveals that Huawei has launched its eKitStor Extreme 200E series SSD in South Korea. The respective SSD is priced at $32 for the 1TB variant. Another storage variant seems to be the 256GB pSLC drive.

Huawei’s 200E solid-state drives lack DRAM but support NAND processors via YTMC (probably). It promises a speed rate of 7400MB/s in reading and 6700MB/s in writing data. Simply put, the SSD will offer good enough performance.
The company now seems a new competitor in South Korea in terms of SSDs. It took a major step into the consumer storage market with a cost-effective solution.
While the 200E SSD may face challenges regarding capacity or performance, it will definitely give a tough spot to rivals when it comes to pricing.
eKitStor Extreme is available at 50% off in South Korea (47,500 Won or $32). It isn’t easy to discover any SSD at such a low price point in South Korea or the US. Meanwhile, Huawei is offering its PCIe 4.0-level SSD at a good value.
Note that this amazing SSD price could be available for a limited time. It is unclear if Huawei will continue to sell the 1TB variant or introduce more new variants in this section for global consumers. Though things will soon be official on this matter.
