Huawei currently has no plans to enter in the payment market, confirms the company

The internet payment platform became more advanced, attracting many enterprises including Huawei to step into the online payment platform. This expectation becomes stronger when the company acquires major shares of the Shenzhen Xunlian.

Not a long ago, Huawei fully owned the Xunlian Zhipay with 100%, registering as the second smartphone manufacturer to receive a payment license after Xiaomi.

It was also informed that Huawei is searching for mobile payment service engineers, mobile payment financial product managers, e-commerce payment product architects, and e-commerce payment risk control product managers.

This telecom company is holding HAS 2021. In the meantime, as per the latest information coming from the Shanghai Stock Exchange, President Cao Chong replied about the current strategy for the payment market.

We don’t have any plans to set foot in the payment market yet, said Mr. Cao Chong, President of the Global Financial Business Department of Huawei Enterprise BG. Although Zahipay is still under the company, for the instance, we can’t say anything that the company will not make any plans in the future as well.

To date, Huawei’s business core is still to use ICT technology to help and empower financial customers to achieve digital transformation in the financial field.
