Huawei could unveil a dual-layer OLED tablet alongside Pura 80
Huawei is seemingly preparing a new dual-layer OLED tablet to launch alongside the Pura 80 series. The company is working on various new products at present. One of these could be a flagship MatePad tablet series with small and large models.
SmartPikachu reveals that Huawei is increasing the dual-layer OLED device production. It suggests the company will use this effective display solution for a new range of tablets alongside the flagship Pura 80 smartphones.
Thus, we may witness a new Huawei MatePad tablet series featuring a dual-layer OLED screen, at the Pura 80 series launch event. The leak further hints that the upcoming tablet lineup will feature both large and small-sized tablets.
Dual-layer OLEDs have become a popular display solution for tech makers. Every other smartphone producer is integrating the respective tech into their products.
Perhaps, Huawei doesn’t want to lag in this modern race and aims to use the dual-layer OLED for its upcoming phones/tablets to offer users a better viewing experience.
Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 was the first tablet to feature a dual-layer OLED screen. Later, the company used the technology for the Mate 70 RS premium handset.
Now the Chinese OEM plans to implement this useful display panel in more devices including the Pura 80 series and a new tablet line. Huawei hasn’t confirmed these details. Though we can expect the advanced solution with upcoming products.

Dual-layer OLED benefits include brighter renderings as well as high-quality visuals. Being a stack of two light-emitting layers, it increases the brightness of the screen and reduces power consumption. The solution also lessens eye fatigue.
Huawei Pura 80 series is expected to debut in May or June this year. The flagship lineup may bring a self-made camera setup and other progressive technologies. Meanwhile, we may witness groundbreaking features with new MatePad tablets as well.
