Huawei could launch two Nova smartphone series this year

Huawei may surprise its consumers by launching two Nova smartphone series this year. A new input suggests that the company may take an unexpected step for Nova line. This will eventually open more options for consumers in the mid-range market.
The Chinese OEM has four main phone lineups: Pura/P, Mate, Nova, and Enjoy series. Pura/Mate count as flagship devices, Nova is a mid-ranger, and Enjoy is an entry-level model. Every year, the company introduces one new series for each line.
But this time, the company may alter this trend for the Nova models at least. A Weibo tipster says Huawei could launch two Nova smartphone series this year.
FixedFocus notes the Chinese OEM will update its Nova lineup with the Nova 14 as well as the Nova 15 series. The former is expected to launch in the first half of this year. Meanwhile, the latter could debut by the end of December 2025.

Last year, Huawei added a mid-range foldable to the Nova line: Nova Flip. Now the company is allegedly working on two middle-level phone series. Although the accuracy of this leak is still revolving around doubts. Hence, let’s wait for official details.
Huawei Nova 14 is expected to debut with the Mate 70 Pro’s Kirin chip. It may deliver powerful and more improved performance over its predecessor. This seems a big change as the phone maker generally uses the Kirin 8 chipset for Nova models.
Besides, the 14th line will likely bring major upgrades in terms of appearance. It could either adopt a new camera module or a different back panel design. The details are currently unclear but we may hit more revelations on this topic in the future.
Nova 14 series will come out of the box with HarmonyOS NEXT. It may bring a few dynamic software features and AI capabilities over its predecessors. And we may also see major changes regarding the photography skills of the device.
