Huawei could boost low/mid-range phone production by 13 million units
Huawei is rumored to increase its low-to-mid-range phone market value by producing 13 million units this year. The company will mainly opt for this move to boost the popularity of its self-developed software system among Chinese customers.
The HarmonyOS NEXT upgrade is currently available to flagship models like Mate 70, Pura 70, Mate 60, Nova 12 Ultra variants, Pocket 2, Mate X6, and some tablets.
Looks like the Chinese tech giant now aims to expand the reach of HarmonyOS NEXT to more users, especially in the low and mid-range smartphone market.
FixedFocus predicted that Huawei is planning to increase its low and mid-range phone production by 13 million units this year. It seems the company aims to increase its foothold in the Chinese mid-range smartphone market.
Another tipster in the comment section speculated that Huawei may take this step to popularize the HarmonyOS NEXT software among more consumers in China.

The tipster further mentioned that the Enjoy 80 series and Nova 14 models will contribute to this strategy. The former lies in the entry-level model category, while the latter fits in the mid-range class. Both series come with effective features.
Huawei has already said that all new devices launching this year will come with HarmonyOS NEXT. Although to boost the software expansion, the company may follow the “production increase” hack for its budget-friendly smartphones.
Huawei hasn’t confirmed these details yet. However, a previous leak said that the phone maker could launch two Nova smartphone lineups this year. Thus, the latest prediction may turn into reality in the time ahead.
Nova 14 models might feature major upgrades this time with new designs and better imaging capabilities. On the other hand, the Enjoy 80 series may adopt a Kirin 5G chip and satellite communication technology.
