Huawei confirms ADS 4.0 upgrade rollout in July for AITO M9 Series

On March 20, Huawei launched the new AITO M5 Ultra model with the ADS 3.3 driving solution. Also, the company announced to unveiling of ADS 4.0 technology in July this year and upgrading the entire Huawei AITO M9 series with it.

Richard Yu – the Chairman of Huawei Smart Automotive Solution Business says that the flagship smart cars will start getting the ADS 4.0 driving system in Q3 2025.

Meanwhile, the entire Huawei AITO M9 series will receive the ADS 4 solution from July to August this year. The advanced car system will introduce more surprising features and capabilities for smart car users, easing the driving experience.

Huawei has currently launched the ADS 3.3 autonomous driving system for many new smart cars. It allows vehicles to easily pass through parking gates, roundabouts and ETC channels, auto-blow the horn to prevent collision at times, and more.

It also has a cross-level parking feature that identifies the complex ramps of the underground garages automatically, and easily deals with curvy roads and steep slopes. The driving process remains stable and accurate without troubling the driver.

Richard Yu’s statement suggests that Huawei is working on some high-end driving solutions. Perhaps new and amazing smart car technologies could show up in the second quarter of this year.

Regarding the ADS 3.3, Huawei Chairman said that it will be available to the old smart car owners via the OTA upgrade in the coming days.
