Huawei and the drug-related topic might sound different but it’s quite effective. In the ongoing Connect 2022 event, Huawei uttered about how the Cloud Pangu Drug Molecule model elevated pharmaceutical R&D and new drug discovery.
Let’s explore this information from the beginning. We all know that the Chinese tech giant is working in every field. Whether it’s the technology sector or the medical institutes, Huawei is providing solutions in every sector, to date.
Recently, the company came in touch with some new pharmaceutical matters. Further, it realized that over 1 billion USD and approx 10 years requirement can imply a new drug in the market.
Meanwhile, at the time of developing antibiotics, the operators discovered that some bacteria are constantly emerging even before the newly-developed antibiotics could finish clinical tests. As a result, everyone started searching for a solution.
In such a scenario, Professor Liu Bing of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Medical School at Xi’an Jiatong University tried some methods. He and his team used the Huawei Cloud Pangu Molecule model and generated a new all-around antimicrobial drug within a month. Also, the R&D cost got a reduction by 70 percent.
From four years to just one month!
New drug development includes several procedures. It’s no less than a challenge as one has to do the screening of hundreds of millions of molecules. So far, the operators and experts used to conduct the screening in the lab which was quite costly, as well as slow at the same time.
At such a challenging phase, Huawei Cloud Pangu Molecule technology has proved a boon for the operators. The company has manufactured the technique by using the data of 1.7 billion drug-life molecules. Furthermore, the technology is capable of defining the drug compounds and their properties.
Apart from these merits, the molecular model can also optimize the structure of the lead components. Thus, experts can minimize the potential side effect of new drugs on human cells. Eventually, a new advantage that possibly turns four years of hard work and process into a month is on the market. And can make new drug discovery quite easier and more efficient.
Huawei Hi Nova 10 5G to launch on October 20
Huawei Nova 10 series is a high-end member of the Nova family. The firm has unveiled two variants in this series: the standard and the Pro model. But looks like, a new reflection of the Huawei smartphone, named Hi Nova 10 5G is going to launch soon.
According to the recent post on Weibo, brought by the famous blogger @FactoryDirectoryShiGuan, China Post Communications is going to launch a replicate of the Huawei Nova 10 – Hi Nova 10 with 5G capability on the consumer ground.
Giving a clue regarding the launch time, the tipster mentions in his post that the Hi Nova 10 will come into existence this month. As of the release date, we could find the duplicate version of the Nova 10 smartphone around October 20.
Since Hi Nova 10 is an upgraded version of the original Nova 10th handset, there aren’t many differences between the two devices. But, in terms of network, the Hi Nova 10 is one step ahead. Unlike the Huawei models, Hi Nova 10 exhibits 5G services.
Another significant contrast is the operating system. While the Nova 10 series has started receiving the HarmonyOS 3.0 beta segments, Hi Nova 10 5G will appear with a system similar to the HarmonyOS 2.0. What else? Well, we can only get an accurate idea of the device after its release.
Hi Nova 10 5G – Already Certified!
In July, the Hi Nova 10 5G has already entered the 3C Certification procedure. With model numbers MGZ-BD00 and ALH-BD00, the device came into the testing of networks very early. However, after that, Hi Nova 10 matter got inactive in the headlines.
While the certification procedure, it came to knowledge that just like the Nova 10 series, Hi Nova 10 5G will also support 66W and 100W super-fast charging. Consequently, there are several interesting facts that the device is going to offer its users.
For the moment, things aren’t much clear in this concept. Let’s wait till October 20 and see what new additions and exceptions will the Hi Nova 10 5G will bring to the surface.
Huawei-Dronetech will bring 5G smart farming facilities to Austria
On October 4, Huawei and Dronetech has shaken their hands to provide 5G smart farming facilities in Austria. In this aspect, both cooperations will work on introducing new 5G technologies that can aid sustainability in the agriculture field.
Dronetech is one of the largest drone service providers in Austria. Recently, the company came in touch with Huawei to initiate the 5G spectrum in the region. Currently, both firms have started to expand their partnership and bring new 5G-oriented applications to the country.
Last year, Huawei and Dronetech brought their pioneer project regarding the 5G and IoT tech advancement for smart farming. Besides, the companies also met the agricultural experts and discussed how 5G technology can promote sustainable farm business.
Now both companies are looking forward to new inventions that can elevate the growth of smart farming in Austria. Currently, Huawei and Dronetech announced that they have entered the second stage ‘Digital Sky’ for farming-related services.
Consequently, at this stage, Huawei will provide cloud computing services along with 5G. This will be the base for real-time AI analysis. In the meantime, Dronetech’s drone, equipped with high-resolution cameras and sensors will inspect the land and objects. By doing so, it will provide active scenarios to operators instantly.
The companies will also develop a shared economy procedure for drone facilities. So that users can easily rent the drone technologies and can use their applications for a variety of purposes.
New technologies build smart ways of farming!
As a result of these technologies, farmers would be able to notice small insects, monitor the crop status, predict harvest, can optimize the use of water, and utilize the chemicals and pesticides precisely, with minimum wastage.
Though, network coverage is still a big challenge in such technology. As of now, 5G connections are working for the end-user who resides indoors (ground level). However, drones that fly 50 meters above still need some best network solutions.
But anyhow, both tech officials will possibly bring new technology for the benefit of the Austrian consumers. The CEO of Dronetech – David Hopf conveyed the following message:
“AI-powered drones are important enablers for the sustainable future of agriculture. Partnered with Huawei, we developed a solution that can not only massively reduce the use of pesticides and fertilizers but also enhance farming efficiency and cut labor costs. This helps our food supply chains to be more sustainable.”
