Huawei Chairman shares glimpse of new Pura smartphone front design

Huawei Consumer Business Chairman Richard Yu today showed the official glimpse of the upcoming Pura ‘foldable’ smartphone front design. This is the first time the device has come before the public eye with an incredible screen appearance.
Richard Yu has published another warm-up video for its unexpected product. This time, the 12-second clip quickly peeks into the device’s front layout and display.
While the executive didn’t reveal the complete front design of the new Huawei Pura folding smartphone, the video shows the device has a wider-than-ever screen.
“The suspense will be revealed soon! It is indeed a mobile phone, but it is more than just a mobile phone. Come to my live broadcast room on March 20 to see the unexpected product!” said Richard Yu.

Wider-than-ever Screen
The slight glimpse of the new handset reveals that it has a significantly broader screen. It will likely exhibit a 16:10 screen ratio. The phone may have the same ‘vertical folding’ mechanism but with an upgraded screen ratio.
Early rumors said that the new Huawei clamshell would have a separated or scrolling screen. But the official clip refutes these talks. The handset’s look highlights a single punch-hole at the top with super slim edges and thinnest bezels all around.

The device really looks like a mini tablet and not just a smartphone. One can easily browse, read, search, play games and perform many operations on this wide internal screen. However, the exact parameters are still missing from the frame.
After the world’s first tri-fold, Huawei is set to introduce a foldable tablet-like product for consumers. The best part is, unlike the Mate XT, the ‘unexpected product’ is said to be affordable for everyone.
Huawei will unveil the incredible “Pura foldable” smartphone on March 20 alongside various new devices and probably, stable HarmonyOS NEXT. Stay tuned.
