Huawei Celia app supports DeepSeek R1 AI model
Huawei has officially linked its Celia app with the DeepSeek R1 AI model. As of now, the smart virtual assistant will support the newly launched Chinese AI LLM. It will also offer interesting services to users. However, there’s a huge twist!
The Chinese tech giant recently connected the Huawei Celia app to DeepSeek R1. It even released the first DeepSeek R1 beta build on the HarmonyOS NEXT-powered Celia application. The AI model’s beta version offers a few useful capabilities.
For instance, the DeepSeek R1 beta will provide detailed answers to queries, help in writing codes, solving mathematical calculations, logical reasonings, and more.
Some Huawei users gave feedback on this topic and said that the DeepSeek R1 beta version is available in the Smart AI agent section on the Celia app.
Users further described that they can easily communicate with the new AI model via Celia Assistant. It helps them with reasoning and offers a seamless AI experience.
How to access DeepSeek R1 in the Celia app?
In case you have upgraded your device to the HarmonyOS NEXT, then you’re eligible to use the new technology. Ensure that the Celia Assistant is running on the 11.2.10.310 or above version. After updating the app, follow these steps:
- Open the Huawei Celia app
- Click on the Discover option
- Now Select the”Smart Agent” tab
- Tap on DeepSeek R1 option
A short description of the DeepSeek-R1 AI model reads:
“I am an intelligent agent based on the open-source version of DeepSeek, aiming to help HarmonyOS users gain a deep thinking experience.”
For now, it is unclear when the non-HarmonyOS NEXT users will be able to use this new technology. Perhaps the only option is to update to new software.
