Huawei can use quad-curved screen exclusively for Pura 80 Ultra
Huawei could use an enhanced quad-curved screen panel only for the Pura 80 Ultra. The Chinese tech maker is working on its next-gen flagship lineup, and it could keep certain spec parts exclusive to the high-end smartphone variant.
SmartPikachu says that the upcoming Pura 80 series will feature two types of screens: flat and quad-curved. While the first could be used for standard and Pro variants, the quad-curved screen can remain exclusive to the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra.
Pura 70 has a flat small screen. Being a vanilla version, it is compact, lighter, and smaller than other siblings. The Pura 70 Pro/Pro+ and Ultra have quad-curved screens. (Note, the Pro models have curved, while the Ultra has a quad-curved one)
The Chinese phone maker could adopt a different ‘screen’ strategy for its new flagship phones this time. Instead of using flat panels for only the standard models, it can introduce it for the Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ variants as well.
Quad-curved refers to curving edges on all four sides. It provides a sleeker and more enhanced immersion look to the device. Such screens also reduce glare and reflections significantly and improve grip, preventing accidental touches.
A quad-curved display panel also contributes to seamless visual effects with minimal bezels. It is perfect for gaming, watching movies, and multitasking.

Huawei Pura 80 Ultra may also introduce the company’s first self-developed camera sensor. An early rumor stated that Huawei is making a new camera for its top-end Pura model. Although the veracity of this rumor is still doubtful.
Consumers can expect vibrant, brighter, and enhanced nightography with the alleged Pura 80 Ultra’s self-made camera system. On the flip side, the tech giant may welcome more new AI photo-editing tools, offering Pro-grade photography skills.
Huawei Pura 80 series will debut in late May or early June. By that time, we may get more revelations on this matter.
