Huawei may upgrade the reading and office work experience with the next MatePad small-sized tablet. A new leak suggests the upcoming, incredible large-screen device could bring interesting features and specs to improve user experience.

The Chinese firm promised to launch ‘beyond imagination’ products this year. After the Pura X foldable, the company is now preparing a small-sized MatePad tablet.

According to Weibo tipster @FixedFocus, Huawei small-sized tablet could be a perfect device for reading and light office work. It will feature a Kirin 9 series chip. Hence, one can expect efficient performance in this flagship device.

The details are quite in line with a previous leak. A tipster earlier noted that the upcoming Huawei small tablet might use an 8.8-inch screen with a 16:10 display ratio.

If the screen size is accurate, the device could offer a convenient experience in terms of reading e-books, watching lengthy videos, gaming, or doing some office work.

Following the leak, many netizens said that the new device could follow a squarish form factor. Though the precise design details are currently under wraps.

In recent years, Huawei mainly focused on mid and large-sized MatePad tablets. But this time, the company aims to return to the entry-level tablet market with a small device. This may increase the OEM’s sales in the Chinese tablet sector.

As per early inputs, Huawei could launch the rumored small tablet in Q2 this year. We may witness the device alongside the Pura 80 series at the launch stage. Though an official confirmation awaits on this matter.
