Huawei Business Results H1 2021: Achieved CNY320 billion in revenue with 9.8% net profit

Huawei released its first-half financial results of 2021. Though these results show a decline in the revenue compared to last year, the company is still satisfied with them.

According to Huawei, it generated a total of CNY 320.4 billion in revenue, with a net profit of 9.8%. Among its three different sectors, the overall revenue was divided as (US$1 – CNY6.4576):

  • Carrier business revenue: CNY 136.9 billion
  • Enterprise business revenue: CNY 42.9 billion
  • Consumer business revenue: CNY 135.7 billion

Looking at the past year’s performance, Huawei achieved a total sales revenue of RMB 454 billion in the first half of 2020. This revenue was contributed as CNY 159.6 billion, CNY36.3 billion, and CNY255.8 billion by Huawei’s carrier, enterprise, and consumer businesses respectively.

What Huawei believes in its H1 2022 performance?

Huawei’s Rotating Chairman Eric Xu has presented his thought on the company’s first-half performance. He justified the aim, which is currently to survive in difficult market conditions caused by the US ban.

Eric further added that its business will continue to serve its consumers and its partners well enough even be facing a decline in revenue. He also mentioned that Huawei is doing its best in the carrier and enterprise sectors, and is growing steadily.

Assuring the users about Huawei’s continuous hard work and dedication, Xu also stated that the tech firm is looking forward to innovating in the new sectors and help to build a low carbon, intelligent world.

Huawei’s growth:

Huawei’s growth under the US sanctions is still a big question, which, Huawei is also working to solve. As the Rotating Chairman said, ‘Our aim is to survive and to do so sustainably’. Survival is what Huawei is currently seeking for the next five years while maintaining its quality service.

It seems that there is no other solution than exclusion of US sanctions, that can improve Huawei’s performance and make it come back in the consumer market globally. For once, the Chinese tech firm was leading the world in the smartphone market. Still, Huawei has made up its mind to forge ahead, while finding new alternatives for resources.
