Huawei began testing EMUI 13 for global smartphones

Huawei just started testing EMUI 13 software for global smartphones and people are pouring questions on the availability, as the beginning led us to the beta application.

Beta activities are designed to provide early access to upcoming software and Huawei is no different from this process. The tech maker is allowing users to register for EMUI 13 test application and grab it ahead of the stable rollout.

After EMUI 13’s launch, the global Huawei smartphone users set their sights on this next major software upgrade. However, the company held beta activity up until now.

Compared to the current stage, Huawei fired EMUI 12 beta around December 2021. While a stable version released at the beginning of January 2022. This time, we’re already running late and the schedule is torturing the device owners.

EMUI 13 comes with a lot of new features including smart folders with better layout options. Service widgets are also making their way to global EMUI-powered devices. Animations, security, and performance are also enhanced.

Some even reported that the app is not showing the project for EMUI 13 beta. Does that mean, Huawei is not testing EMUI 13 for global smartphones? Let’s check out the matter.

Yesterday, a report suggested that Huawei announced the EMUI 13 beta program for select devices including:

  • Huawei P50 Pro
  • Huawei P50 Pocket
  • Huawei Mate Xs 2

These are the phones eligible to participate in the first phase of the EMUI 13 beta campaign ahead of the official rollout. This program is first spotted in Malaysia and it may take some time to expand in other markets.

Users in the country installed the FUT beta app but there’s no project appearing inside. However, we want to inform you that the beta slots will open gradually for different models and countries. If you don’t find the new project, make sure to check it back later on.
