Huawei announces new AI features for Harmony Intelligence

Huawei today held the Pura X foldable launch event where it has announced more new AI features for Harmony Intelligence. The company has already introduced the new-gen AI platform at the HDC 2024 with a brief view of its intelligence.

Harmony Intelligence is the latest AI infrastructure of Huawei. It integrates AI voice assistant Celia with the HarmonyOS software system to provide a smart and convenient experience to users in their daily life smartphone tasks.

Over a few months, Huawei significantly improved Harmony Intelligence and added more AI features to it. These features debuted today with Pura X foldable.

Firstly, it brings a brand-new Celia AI assistant, based on Pangu big model + DeepSeek AI technology. The latest tech combination promises huge surprises for users.

DeepSeek’s latest R1 model has been powered by Ascend 910C chips. Huawei has now integrated this AI model into Celia, developing a more advanced and more responsive virtual assistant for users. One can experience it with Pura X.

Celia supports the following features on the Pura X foldable:

Answers phone calls

The New Celia AI assistant can answer your phone calls as per the caller and situations. It also shows the content based one the other party’s conversation and makes calls more efficient than ever.

Celia Time Machine

Huawei’s Celia Assistant will now let you go back in time and explore your amazing vacation memories. Yes, the assistant will carefully arrange your images and auto-generated travel notes, making the past moments the best highlights.

AI Smart Cache

Have you ever wanted to watch an online video but ran out of internet pack? Don’t worry as the new Celia assistant has got your back. You can still watch videos even when there’s no internet as your AI assistant caches videos in advance.

You can now watch them offline anytime!

Celia Whispers

Standing in a crowded area and want to share something confidential? Just whisper on your foldable phone and Celia will detect the message, saving it successfully.

Other features of the new Harmony Intelligence + New Celia AI Assistant are:

• Smart Payment: Just point your phone at the barcode scanning box to automatically display the barcode and make payments in no time.
• AI file-sharing air gesture: Share photos, videos, and audio files across devices via drag and drop gesture.
• Writing: Celia app helps you with writing the content as per your key points of the described topic and can summarize lengthy articles.
• AI Speaking: For elders, Celia is a helpful tool as it allows users to speak as per their preference.

Harmony Intelligence is a fusion of new visual, voice, and smart brain interaction. It will likely be available to more devices by April 10.
