These Huawei and Honor phones received VoWiFi (Wi-Fi Calling) update in India [List]

Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) or Wi-Fi Calling, enable users to route calls via Wi-Fi networks or carrier’s network depending on your preference and which signal is stronger.

When you turn on Wi-Fi Calling, you can make calls over your phone’s network connection. For this feature to work, your phone must be connected to a Wi-Fi network and have an active SIM card inserted.

VoWiFi Benefits:

• Allows for voice services over any Wi-Fi network (home, office, hotspots).
• Wi-Fi Calling provides better indoor coverage.
• Seamless call transfer support between Wi-Fi and LTE (using VoLTE) and specific support in the device.

Earlier this year, VoWiFi made debut in India and after months of development, Huawei began the rollout of this feature for the devices via software updates in April and yet to roll out for some devices.
