Huawei and China Unicom have recently signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to team up on IP self-intelligent network technology. Both parties joined hands on April 28 in Songshan Lake at Dongguan.

China Unicom serves as one of the major telcos in China. It offers a wide range of services, such as mobile, fixed line, data, and internet services to millions of users.

Looks like China Unicom now aims to revamp the IP network technology with the help of Huawei. Under the new cooperation agreement, both firms will carry out in-depth cooperation for the IP Self-Intelligent Network segment.

The companies will cover standard formulation, technology research and development, application demonstration, industry promotion, and other related operations.

According to the information, Huawei and China Unicom will develop a strong verification platform to test the next-gen network. This particular platform will focus on enhancing the core standards, key techs, and pilot setup for an IP network based on L4.

This new IP self-intelligent network tech will bring smart network services, innovative business models, and develop a robust maintenance system for IP scenarios.

Simply put, Huawei and China Unicom aim to build Autonomous Networks Technology to offer even better and reliable services to users. Both firms have started laying the foundation for this plan. It would be worth seeing how this tech will shape the future of network technology.
