Huawei accidentally reveals the first official look of a Pura 80 phone

Huawei has accidentally revealed the first-ever look of the upcoming Pura 80 smartphone. The flagship device appeared during the MAEXTRO S800 smart car launch event. Looks like the next-gen Pura models are quite close to their release.
On May 30, Huawei-JAC jointly built MAEXTRO S800 debuted officially on the consumer platform. The companies shared major features and top-notch capabilities of the newly launched electric sedan at the event.
But something that caught consumers’ attention was the official first look at the Huawei Pura 80 phone. One of the company’s executives accidentally revealed the upcoming flagship to netizens while posing to capture the event’s highlights.
The CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, He Gang, was spotted showcasing one of the Pura 80 handsets. Based on the camera module, the device seems to be the high-end variant (Ultra/Pro+) of the approaching Pura phone lineup.

Pura 80 Ultra: First Look
According to the leaked images on Weibo, the new Pura 80 model sticks to the triangular camera bump, just like its predecessor. However, the change is the addition of a dual-periscope camera lens at the center of the module.
The center lens ring shows two periscope sensors, implying that previous rumors are accurate. Huawei will take macrophotography to a new level with the Pura 80 series.
Compared to the Pura 70 Pro/Ultra models, the latest phone’s camera bump is bigger and wider. It covers almost the top part of the device’s back panel.

The camera module has two more sensors, including the main lens and an ultra-wide-angle shooter. The LED flash lies between these two camera sensors.
Further, the phone shows a plain leather back panel. Huawei branding is visible at the right corner of the back. The right side of the device (from the back) has a power button and volume rockers.
As mentioned, the identity of the device is still unclear, as Huawei didn’t reveal the official details of the accidentally exposed device. But the leaked images hint that the company could soon begin sharing official teasers for the flagship lineup.
