Huawei 5G smartphones shipment surpasses 10 million units

At Huawei virtual launch press conference, Huawei launched a variety of new products and services to global consumers and presented some highlights of its last year’s performance.

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group has announced that the shipment of Huawei’s 5G smartphones has now surpassed over 10 million units.

In 2019, Huawei shipped a large number of 5G smartphones, reaching smartphone global sales to over 6.9 million units in 2019.

Huawei started its 5G smartphone campaign with the launch of Mate 20 X 5G, available in almost every 5G market. Later in the year, Huawei introduced flagship Mate 30 5GMate 30 Pro 5g, Mate 30 RS Porsche Design followed by the Mate X 5G foldable phone and the Huawei Nova 6 5G.

Richard also mentioned that Huawei shipped 240 million smartphone units in 2019, an increase of 16.8% year-on-year (YoY). Helping the company to become the second top smartphone maker. In addition to smartphones, PC shipments increased by 200%, and wearable devices increased by 170%.
