Honor X70 may use an improved chipset with same old LCD screen
Honor X70 smartphone started emerging in rumors and the latest one reveals the chipset and screen details. The device may use an upgraded processor this time. Although the phone’s display solution could disappoint consumers to some extent.
The tech giant unveiled the X60 series two months ago with some flagship-level parameters. The standard model uses Dimensity 7025 chip whereas, the Pro variant runs on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor.
Now the company has started working on the next-gen X series. As per a new leak, the Honor X70 smartphone is in the making and will debut later this year.
Weibo tipster DigitalChatStation reveals that the standard Honor X70 will use the same LCD screen as its predecessor but may equip a slightly better chipset. For reference, the X60 features a TFT LCD screen with 2412 x 1080 pixels resolution.
Even though OLED panels are better than LCD screens, the latter possesses some benefits. It offers high-definition and sharp image quality without any blur problems, as well as consumes minimal energy. These panels are durable and offer fast response time. The only drawback is the unsatisfactory color saturation.
The tipster adds that the X60 with LCD panel resulted in effective sales. Hence, the company may continue to use the same screen solution for X70. Meanwhile, the display tech may vary for the standard and Pro variant of the X70 series.
Regarding the chipset, the leak only suggests an upgraded processor. Though other details are uncertain. We may find more clarification in the coming days.
