Honor View10 on EMUI 10 receiving January security update

Honor smartphone users in Europe and other countries are, outside of Asia, are still waiting for EMUI 10 updates. While Honor is looking forward to March to expand the latest version of EMUI in the European markets.

Meanwhile, Honor View10 users who’ve already upgraded to EMUI 10 are now receiving a new software update that brings January security. However, there are no additional features or improvements mentioned in the changelog.

The January 2020 update improves system security with Google security patches and fixes to fixes to 2 critical and 16 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

Software Version:

January security update for Honor View10 arrives with EMUI version 10.0.0.171 with 871MB size.

To Check for update follow the instructions below:

Via Settings:

1. Open Settings
2. Click on ‘System & updates’
3. Click on ‘Software update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’

Via HiCare:

1. Open HiCare app
2. Click on ‘Services’ tab
3. Click on ‘Update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’
